An individual named Aimee Harris was sentenced to spend a month in prison for stealing the personal diary of President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley Biden, and selling it to a conservative group. Additionally, she will be under house arrest for a period of three months following her release from incarceration.
In the year 2022, at the age of 41, Harris admitted guilt to the offense of conspiring to transport stolen items across state lines.
A resident of Palm Beach, Florida, Aimee Harris, was found guilty and penalized by a federal court based in New York this past Tuesday.
She had previously confessed to receiving $20,000 (equivalent to £15,800) from Project Veritas, which is known for employing concealed cameras as part of its operations aimed at exposing political figures, government representatives, and media outlets.

Aimee Harris’s actions were labeled as “heinous and therefore extremely severe” by Judge Laura Taylor Swain during the ruling made in the federal court located in New York on Tuesday. Back in 2020, Ashley Biden used to live in a home situated in Delray Beach, Florida, wherein she maintained a private journal along with various other possessions.
Afterward, Harris obtained permission to stay in the abode from the proprietor. Upon discovering Ms. Biden’s items, Harris attempted to sell the journal to Donald Trump’s electoral campaign, enlisting the assistance of her co-accused, Robert Kurlander.
Following their failure to secure a deal with Donald Trump’s electoral campaign, both Harris and her accomplice, Robert Kurlander, subsequently approached Project Veritas for negotiations. While Harris faced legal consequences earlier, Kurlander has already acknowledged his wrongdoing through a guilty plea and awaits his impending penalty.

As part of the ongoing probe related to these accusations, agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted searches at the residences of James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas, alongside several of his coworkers. At this juncture, neither Project Veritas nor Mr.
O’Keefe faced criminal charges; however, he eventually decided to resign from his position within the firm post the incident. During the course of events, Project Veritas retained possession of the alleged journals penned by Ms. Biden, detailing her experiences transcending substance addiction.
Subsequently, another conservative publishing platform published an edited version of what they asserted to be the diaries after initially being withheld by Project Veritas.
According to information shared with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) by Ben Wetmore, chairman of the Project Veritas board of directors, the organization voluntarily surrendered the journal belonging to Ms. Biden to the relevant authorities.
Despite none of the members associated with Project Veritas having been criminally charged yet, investigators reportedly seized numerous pieces of equipment, wiretapped internal discussions, and compelled the enterprise to allocate substantial resources towards litigation expenses intended to safeguard themselves and the First Amendment.
Post her admission of guilt, Aimee Harris skipped multiple hearings pertaining to her sentencing before ultimately appearing in front of the judge on Tuesday. During the proceedings, she conveyed her remorse to the judiciary and emphasized that her top priorities lay with her offspring.
Harris declared, “I don’t think I stand above the law,” further disclosing her history marked by enduring chronic domestic violence and sexual exploitation incidents.
During the hearing, Aimee Harris took the opportunity to apologize directly to President Biden’s daughter whilst acknowledging her misconduct. Prosecution officials corroborated this notion in their sentencing memorandum, highlighting that Harris seemed motivated by a blend of monetary incentives and political inclinations.
They noted, “Irrespective of ideological aspirations, pilfering a prospective contender’s relative’s personal effects and trading them to an establishment with intentions to manipulate such assets politically remains immoral and unlawful.”
