The former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, expressed his opposition to the idea of imposing a Western arms embargo on Israel.

In an opinion piece published in the Daily Mail on Friday, he argued that such a move would be detrimental as it would essentially amount to handing victory to Hamas. According to him, preventing weapons sales to Israel would be an irrational course of action.

Last week, an Iranian journalist who was stabbed near his London home has resumed working, asserting that “the show must continue.” On March 29th, Pouria Zeraati, a correspondent for the oppositional media organization Iran International in London, suffered a knife injury to his leg inflicted by three unknown attackers during his approach to his vehicle in Wimbledon.

In a recent interview with ITV News, this journalist publicly addressed the assault for the very first time, referring to it as a “stern warning.” As Zeraati explained, “The selection they made was targeting my leg specifically.”

Zeraati further mentioned that the attackers possessed the opportunity to end his life, considering one individual held him captive while another drew a blade. Despite this fact, Zeraatti remains undeterred and affirmed, “Regardless of the reason behind it all, we must press forward.”

As per updates from the Metropolitan Police, there haven’t been any apprehensions thus far; however, law enforcement officials firmly believe that these three individuals pose no threat to either London or UK neighborhoods.

Authorities attribute this conclusion to evidence suggesting that the suspects likely departed the country via Heathrow shortly after committing the crime.
